We build this site so that everybody can use it, including people with disabilities. You should be able to read what we do, look at our work and reach us without a fight.
Our Standard
We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we back the goals of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Those are the standards people use to judge if a web page works for everyone.
What We’ve Done
Here is what is already in this site:
- Real headings and structure, so a screen reader can move around the page.
- Text descriptions on pictures and labels on the buttons that do something.
- Keyboard use. You can reach and work everything without a mouse.
- Colour contrast picked so the text stays readable on the dark background.
- Less motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, the animation is cut back or switched off.
- It fits your screen. Phone, tablet or desktop, and nothing goes missing.
Ongoing Effort
This is not a job you finish once. We check the site and keep fixing it. Some parts may still not work for everyone, and the 3D and WebGL pieces are the likeliest. If something stops you, tell us. That is how it gets fixed.
Tell Us if Something Does Not Work
If any part of this site gives you trouble, or you need something on it in a different format, email us. We will get you the information another way. If you have a suggestion, we want it.
